Trust & Verification Standards
Editorial Policy
How we verify content, source claims, ensure attribution, and protect audience data.
1. Fact & Quotation Verification
Every article published on Taaza Talkies must undergo algorithmic and programmatic verification before release:
- Quotation Authenticity: Every direct quote must match the verified transcript. We do not invent statements, modify quotes to exaggerate drama, or misattribute statements between speakers.
- Timestamp Verifiability: Every highlighted moment must link directly to the second in the original audio/video stream where the exchange occurs.
- Context Preservation: Statements made in jest, sarcasm, or hypothetical debate must be clearly identified and not presented as factual admissions.
- Scoring Gates: Stories scored below our 80-point threshold require human editorial review prior to publication.
2. Audience Sampling Ethics & Derived Metrics
For our "The Internet Reacts" and audience intelligence desks:
- Sample Transparency: We always state the exact discussion sources, sampling time window, and total count of examined comments.
- No False Generalization: A sample of public comments is never portrayed as "all viewers" or "the entire public." We do not construct percentage claims without an audited, verifiable denominator.
- Privacy Protection: We do not store or republish personal individual identifiers, private emails, or contact information.
- Platform Compliance: Connectors to third-party APIs (including YouTube Data API) operate under strict compliance gates and are disabled when derived analytics permissions require further platform audit.
3. Intellectual Property & Fair Use
Taaza Talkies is an editorial discovery platform providing commentary, critique, and intelligence. We do not download, re-host, or stream copyrighted video files. All audiovisual media is presented via official platform embeds (such as YouTube's official player) or through authorized creator stills.
